The Stellenbosch Wine Festival selected Clover Mama Afrika as their annual beneficiary and donated all the entry fees collected from the Clover Festival Café to the project.
The festival attracts local, up-country and overseas visitors and manages to reach the full spectrum of wine consumers: from the connoisseur to the occasional drinker. According to head festival organiser, Annareth Jacobs, this year’s attendance was the best ever. Prof Elain Vlok attended the festival during her regional visits to the Western Cape Mamas and was delighted to receive the cheque from Amanda Strydom on behalf of the Stellenbosh Wine Festival.
“We are proud to be part of such a prestigious event as well as being the beneficiary. Clover Mama Afrika has over the last four years touched a lot of lives and we are blessed to have such support. We are truly grateful for the generous donation,” says Prof Elain Vlok.
Special thanks go to Milly Kemp, Clover Parow’s Senior Promotions Officer who promoted Clover Mama Afrika at this event. The funds raised are used to build the long awaited project house for Mama Pumla of Ubuhle Babantwane Care Centre in Mfuleni.
