The best treat ever for children of Ennerdale 2010-01-28 |

The West Rand Sales staff of Clover City Deep and Makro Strubens Valley joined forces and gave the children of Ebenezer Hannah Home (previously known as Ebenezer Care Centre) the best Christmas party ever. Mama Shirley Merime the founder of the centre welcomed all 23 special guests who made this day possible with love and cheer. The festivity was held in the newly build community centre where all the children enjoyed fresh hot dogs, sweets and juice arranged by Clover City Deep. Santa Clause arrived in the ice cream truck that provided the children with ice cream for pudding.
The real treat was when Jan Wagenaar, General Merchandise Manager of Makro Strubens Valley donated no less than R30 000 worth of brand new toys which included a facecloth, toothbrush and toothpaste for every member of the centre. Santa did the honours of handing over the gifts to each child and Mama Shirley received two top of the range urns and irons as well as a special treat just for her, perfume. "Praise the lord for this wonderful day and for loving organisations such as Clover and Makro" Says Mama Shirley.
Clover City Deep staff started preparing for this party sometime ago and even bought each child a gift valued at R50. "We are so grateful to Makro for their donation. It has made this party even more memorable for all of us and especially for the children." Says Renier Lotter, Clover Regional Sales Manager. Christmas carols were sung by very talented Tim Manana, Clover Accounts Manager together with friends. The day will be remembered for a very long time by all the members young and old that is under the care of Mama Shirley.
